OUR STAND AGAINST RACISM

We want to be very clear about our position against the sin of racism.

OUR STAND

In view of the tragic fact that many historical church movements - by their own admission - failed to boldly condemn or eschew ethnic hatred, maltreatment, injustice, or divisions (including among followers of Jesus), Monarchs Church wishes to clearly repudiate the sin of racism that is contrary to the impartiality, love, and justice of God as well as the principle of reconciliation found in Christ - who died for all our sins, rose from the dead, and continually empowers us with the Holy Spirit so we may live above bondage to such sins including racial pride and hatred.

IMAGO DEI : All human beings are inherently and equally valuable as image-bearers of God, regardless of ethnicity, skin color, sex, socio-economic status, physical ability, intelligence, size, level of development, degree of dependency, or environment.

Genesis 1:27 ESV - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

THE NEW COMMANDMENT : Christ’s Kingdom Rule is to love one another in the way that He loved us. Obeying this command is part of our church mission because it identifies us to all people as disciples of Jesus.

John 13:34-35 ESV - “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

GOD'S WILL : The Biblical vision of Heaven described in Revelation is of a multi-ethnic, multi-racial assembly celebrating God together and who have been given eternal salvation through Jesus Christ who has taught us to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

Revelation 7:9-10 ESV - After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
